Our Story
Our school is more than a place to learn kicks, blocks, and patterns—it is a place where family, discipline, and lifelong growth come together. Taekwondo has shaped our lives both inside the dojang and beyond it, and we are honored to share that journey with our students and community.
Our school is led by Mark Churchill, a 3rd Dan black belt who retired from the Military. Mark’s Taekwondo journey began under Grand Master Richard Dion, whose instruction laid the foundation for a lifetime of training and teaching. Over the years, Mark has operated multiple schools and shared Taekwondo with students from many walks of life.
During his time in the United States Marine Corps, Mark continued both training and teaching. He instructed students in Orange County, California and further developed his martial arts skills while stationed in Okinawa, Japan, one of the world’s most historic centers of martial arts training. Most recently, Mark has continued his development under Master Adam Shedrick and Grand Master Guy Laplant.
Alongside him is Tina Churchill, a 1st Dan black belt who also proudly retired from the Military. Tina earned her black belt in 2024 and continues to train and teach with dedication and heart. Outside the dojang, she works at Fairfield Center School, where she brings the same values of respect, perseverance, and encouragement to the students she works with every day.
Taekwondo is truly a family tradition for us. Our son Karson Churchill and daughter Ayvah Churchill are both High Red Belts and are currently on track to earn their black belts this year. They have grown up in the dojang and represent the next generation of dedication, leadership, and martial arts spirit.
As a family-operated school, we believe Taekwondo is not just a sport or activity—it is a way of life. The lessons of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit guide everything we do. Our goal is to help students of all ages grow stronger, more confident, and more disciplined both on and off the mat.
Whether you are stepping onto the mat for the first time or continuing your martial arts journey, we welcome you to become part of our Taekwondo family.
Courtesy, Integrity, Perserverance, Self-Control and Indominable Spirit.

At Crossroads Taekwondo, every program is built around the same foundation — developing strong character, physical confidence, and the discipline that carries students forward in every area of life.
We believe that Taekwondo is for everyone. Whether your child is six years old and stepping onto the mat for the very first time, a teenager ready to refine their skills and take on greater challenges, or an adult looking to build strength, flexibility, and mental clarity — there is a place for you here.
In other words, our programs are not one-size-fits-all. Each class is structured around the specific developmental needs of the age group, with experienced instruction, a welcoming community, and a curriculum that grows with every student.
Classes meet twice a week — Tuesday and Thursday — with dedicated time slots for each program so every student trains alongside peers at their own level.
As a result, you get a focused, effective experience from your very first class to your black belt and beyond.
